Hydraulic Piers

   Hydraulically driven piers were invented and patented by Steve Gregory in the 1970’s.  Since then Ram Jack has continued to evolve the technology, making it more reliable.

   The essence of the technology is using hydraulic rams to deliver up to 70,000 lbs of force to drive a high strength steel shaft down to competent bearing strata, which is around 20 ft deep in the Phoenix area.  This permanently bypasses the problem soils and establishes a new bearing element to which we can stabilize and adjust the existing foundation. These piers are left permanently in place and covered up so that no trace of them can be seen. 

   Ram Jack products are Epoxy Powder Coated to withstand corrosion.  They have also been tested and approved by the International Code Council (Sort of the UL of the structural community).  To view those reports click on http://www.icc-es.org/ and find report # PFC 5996.
